FATHER

FATHER, named after the AI Mainframe for the USM Auriga from the movie Alien Resurrection, is a server I run at home. It is based on an old motherboard, in a default tower case with enough space for a lot of disks, running in a RAID 6 configuration with lots of TB of usable space.

It runs Ubuntu Server with a file server, some backup scripts for my complete iCloud photo library and some servers, a Syncthing instance, a PhotoPrism instance and it runs a mediaserver. It also clones the latest nightly btrfs snapshot from MOTHER as an offsite backup.
